Streamlined Patient Experience

At Laser Spine Institute we understand that traveling with neck or back pain can be difficult. For that reason we have centers located across the United States to best serve each area of the country. Although our facilities are located regionally, nearly 60 percent of our patients still need to travel a considerable distance to receive the quality of care and service that we are able to provide. Because of this possible inconvenience, we have developed a streamlined patient experience to ensure that each patient is treated in the most effective and efficient manner possible. Our streamlined experience eliminates hospital-associated costs and helps patients get back to their lives faster. The general patient experience at Laser Spine Institute’s Philadelphia center goes as follows:

Speak with a Spine Care Consultant

The first contact you have with our center will be through one of our caring and committed Spine Care Consultants. These members of our Care Team will walk you through the initial candidacy process, assisting you with any questions you may have as you begin your journey to pain relief. Your Spine Care Consultant will also explain to you our streamlined experience, as well as our process and various procedures at Laser Spine Institute.

Have a consultation

For our patients that are within a drivable distance to one of our centers, we recommend coming into the facility for an initial consultation. This consultation will allow you to sit with one of our physicians and review the most recent copy of your MRI or CT scan, so the physician can determine your personalized plan of action. For patients who cannot travel to one of our facilities at this time, our Spine Care Consultants can also conduct this step over the phone.

A streamlined experience at our facility

Once you have been determined to be a potential candidate, it will be time to travel to one of our regional centers to begin the streamlined experience. The majority of our patients are with us for five days. Typically, our patients have surgery on the third day of their visit. The length of the patient experience may vary. Patients may be required to rest for up to 48 hours after surgery.

At Laser Spine Institute we understand the value that is found in having a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. For that reason, our procedures are all performed in our AAAHC-accredited outpatient ambulatory surgery centers. Many of our patients can return to their homes or hotels with their Care Partner just hours after surgery. During the experience, patients traveling from out of town are able to stay at one of our local hotel partners. These partners offer our patients preferential treatment during their stay.
