Streamlined Patient Experience

At Laser Spine Institute we understand that traveling with neck or back pain can be difficult. For that reason we have centers located across the United States to best serve each area of the country. Although our facilities are located regionally, nearly 60 percent of our patients still need to travel a considerable distance to receive the quality of care and service that we are able to provide. Because of this, we have developed a streamlined patient experience to ensure that each patient is treated in the most comfortable and convenient manner possible.

Our streamlined experience eliminates hospital-associated costs and helps patients get back to their lives faster.^ The general patient experience at Laser Spine Institute’s Philadelphia center goes as follows:

Initial contact

When you first contact us over the phone or through an online chat you will be connected with a Patient Empowerment Consultant. These members of our team will walk you through the initial process of becoming a candidate, assisting you with any questions you may have as you begin your patient journey. Your Patient Empowerment Consultant will also explain our streamlined experience, as well as our process and various procedures at Laser Spine Institute.

Have a consultation

For our patients that are within a drivable distance to one of our centers, we recommend coming into the facility for an in-person consultation. This consultation will allow you to sit with one of our physicians and review your MRI or CT scan to determine your personalized plan of action. For patients who cannot travel to one of our facilities, our Patient Empowerment Consultants can also conduct this step over the phone.

Partner with our Care Management Team

Once you have been established as a potential candidate for one of our minimally invasive procedures, you will then be connected with our Care Management Team. Your team will include a Registered Nurse who will personally help you complete a medical assessment and a Patient Concierge to help schedule your visit and assist with your travel needs.

A streamlined experience at our facility

Our patients are typically with us for five days and have surgery on the third day of their visit. The length of the patient experience may vary. Patients may be required to rest for up to 48 hours after surgery.

At Laser Spine Institute, we understand our patients and their families expect a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. For that reason, our procedures are all performed in our AAAHC-accredited outpatient ambulatory surgery centers. Many of our patients can return to their homes or hotels with their Care Partner just hours after surgery.^ During the experience, patients traveling from out of town are able to stay at one of our local hotel partners. These partners offer our patients preferred accommodations and discounted rates during their stay.
